Poetry In the Park
For more than a decade, Poetry in the Park has been pairing Milwaukee poets with their peers from around the region and across the country for this open-air summer reading series held in dramatic backdrop of Lake Michigan. Supported generously by Juneau Park Friends since its inception and for the past six years by the National Endowment for the Arts, as of this summer Woodland Pattern will no longer receive NEA funds for this or any other literary programs. Please help us keep this fixture of summertime in Milwaukee alive with a donation in support of Poetry in the Park's 2025 season. With a donation of $50, you can cover park fees for one of our four events; $100 will cover honorarium for one of the 16 poets we will present. Larger gifts help us cover travel, lodging, promotion, and our staff's work to bring this programming to life. Thank you for helping us keep Poetry in the Park going strong! We'll see you at 6:30 on the second Tuesdays of June, July, August, and September!
